Who Is The NCSC?

The National Cyber Security Centre are:
“The UK’s authority on cyber security. We are a part of GCHQ. The NCSC brings together and replaces CESG (the information security arm of GCHQ), the Centre for Cyber Assessment (CCA), Computer Emergency Response Team UK (CERT UK) and the cyber-related responsibilities of the Centre for the Protection of National Infrastructure (CPNI).”

The Ability to NOT Reinvent the Wheel

Why is IS Know How aligning itself to NCSC methods regarding 10 Steps to Cyber Security?

Don't get us wrong, we may not agree entirely 100% of the time, with everything that will ever emanate from the National Cyber Security Centre but we see the incredible value of their knowledge, expertise and of course the resulting content.

If ISKH become aware of various resources, that we see most definitely has a place in the ISKH Eco-system, that are of a suitable but not overly technical focus and with which; our Registered Charities, Social Enterprises and Not-for-Profits clients can harness to vastly improve their organisation's overall Cyber / Data Security knowledge, positioning and mitigation of the many risks, then we will always look to deliver them.

"The NCSC’s main purpose is to reduce the cyber security risk to the UK by improving its cyber security and cyber resilience. We work together with UK organisations, businesses and individuals to provide authoritative and coherent cyber security advice and cyber incident management. This is underpinned by world class research and innovation.

We recognise that, despite all our efforts to reduce risks and enhance security, incidents will happen. When they do, the NCSC will provide effective incident response to minimise harm to the UK, help with recovery, and learn lessons for the future."
